The Everyday Occurrences of a Stranded God
Meet Donnelius Conqaide, a cocky young man with a god complex. He hails from a familiar fantasy world, where magic and monsters are a part of the everyday. It is a grandiose world of grandiose mannerisms, where people unironically throw their capes back behind their backs and utter the phrase ‘You fool’. However, after a slight miscalculation, Conqaide suddenly finds himself thrust through space-time to the strange new world of Earth. With the help of his newfound companion, a plain-looking girl by the name of Martha, Conqaide now struggles to learn the ways of this foreign planet. There’s a catch, though: he does not have the luxury of accessing his immense magical strength in its entirety. In his attempts to return home, he also navigates a low paying part-time job at a seedy restaurant, learns how to hold normal conversations with other people, and gets used to the taste of mac ’n’ cheese. All the while fending off the bloodthirsty bounty hunters that have come for his head, of course.
Stuck between impatient feelings of wanting to return to his home planet and the surprising comfort that comes with living a mundane human life, he is forced to strike a balance between the high-leveled magic caster Conqaide and the normal restaurant waiter known only as ‘Don’. As Earth begins to grow on him bit by bit, Conqaide must battle both the threatening enemies on the outside as well as his own confusing emotions on the inside. And, through his experiences, he might even learn a little bit more about what being a ‘god’ really means.
